Good Noise Vancouver Gospel Choir has been gospel choir in residence at Christ Church Cathedral since September 2004.  As a choir in residence, Good Noise maintains independence as a community choir while being an active part of the musical life of the Cathedral.  Weekly rehearsals and two of our major concert series are held at the Cathedral.  In addition, the choir occasionally provides the music for church services, as well as being featured annually in the very popular “Gospel for the City” Christmas Eve church service.  Good Noise and the Cathedral Choir enjoy musical collaborations as well, co-producing dynamic concerts and very recently, co-commissioning a new choral work (along with Vancouver Children’s Choir) by musician/composer Paul Halley, which was premiered in two gala concerts in June 2011 with the composer and his son, percussionist Nick Halley, joining the choirs in performance.
